Three people have been arrested after a suspect opened fire at police during a traffic stop in San Bernardino.
The shooting happened just after midnight Tuesday, according to officials, when officers attempted a traffic stop near West Baseline and Berkeley streets. When officers attempted to pul the car over, police said a man got out and fired a gun at officers, but did not hit anyone.
Officials with the San Bernardino Police Department said officers attempted a traffic stop near Baseline and Berkeley streets when the suspect took off around 11:55 p.m. Monday.Witnesses said following the failed traffic stop, the suspect drove through a black iron fence and into the parking lot of an auto body shop.
