A homicide investigation is underway in Seattle after a 40-year-old man was found dead inside a Beacon Hill home Monday morning. A 38-year-old suspect is in custody.
SEATTLE — A fatal shooting involving a pair of brothers in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle raised the city's homicide total to 64 so far in 2023, extending the yearly record.
A 40-year-old man was the victim of the shooting, which police responded to shortly before 5:30 a.m. Monday morning, the Seattle Police Department said in aSPD said it arrived at a residence on Gould Avenue South and found a dead man with a gunshot wound. Police said the victim and the 38-year-old suspect, who was identified and taken into custody at the scene, are brothers. Their mother called 911 after the deadly shooting, according to police.
