According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, Jacquerious Mitchell told police Green got out of their vehicle first to talk to Brown, which led to an altercation between the two men. Jacquerious Mitchell told investigators when he got out of the car, Brown shot him first. He then heard two more gunshots after he fell back in the car.
Michael Diaz Mitchell, 35, pleaded guilty to murder in November in connection with the case and was sentenced to 40 years in prison, according to court records.
