Spencer Hackney, 36, is charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated menacing, possession of drugs, and weapons under disability, according to police.
AKRON, Ohio — A man has been charged with aggravated robbery and other criminal counts after police say he robbed a convenience store at gunpoint, striking a worker in the face during the incident.
The robbery was reported at about 2:15 p.m. Saturday at the Corner Store on the 100 block of West South Street in the Summit Lake neighborhood, police say. Hackney, reportedly known in the store only as Spencer, is accused of stealing merchandise at gunpoint before assaulting the worker, making threats and then leaving from the store.
