MANILA, Philippines – Supreme Court has allowed Rappler Chief Executive Officer Maria Ressa to travel abroad next month so she can attend several speaking engagements.
In a resolution dated May 29, 2023, SC’s first division granted Ressa’s motion to fly to Italy, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States from June 4 to 11, 2023 and June 19 to 29, 2023.She was also told to observe the sub judice rule – to refrain from making any comment on or discussing in public her legal case and other related matters.
