The Super PAC backing Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in an expected 2024 bid for the White House will debut its first TV ad on Sunday, taking aim at former President Donald Trump's focus on the Florida governor, rather than his Democratic opponents.
The new ad is launching on Fox News Sunday, according to Never Back Down's Communications Director Erin Perrine.The 30-second ad begins by noting that Trump"is being attacked by a Democrat prosecutor in New York."Trump has repeatedly criticized DeSantis in posts to his social media platform Truth Social over the last several weeks. Just last week, MAGA Inc.
Never Back Down's ad contradicts the claim that DeSantis wants to cut Medicare and Social Security. The Super PAC included a clip of the governor from last month, in which he says,"We're not going to mess with Social Security." It further includes a clip of Trump at the World Economic Forum saying entitlements will be on his agenda"at some point."
