The Kansas City Chiefs bested the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in what Fox Sports says was"the second most-watched non-overtime Super Bowl on record and the second most-watched program in FOX Sports history."
An average of 118.7 million viewers tuned in for Rihanna's halftime show. In it, she disclosed her pregnancy. Predictably, Philadelphia and Kansas City were the top local markets for viewership. They were followed by Cincinnati, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Norfolk, Charlotte, Minneapolis, and St. Louis. While the program averaged 113 million viewers, data show that 182.6 million viewers tuned in for either all or part of the game.
