Is Harrisburg going to be identified with one of those “do nothing” city administrations?

PennLive Letters to the Editor

Every day I hear more about crime in the cities and a city government behind those crimes that are “asleep at the wheel!” It’s too much of a coincidence that most of these cities are governed by the same political party. Just recently, Chicago opted for the “same ole, same ole” do-nothing mayor. Our city has … or had been successful in having good individuals at the helm, regardless of the political party. But I fear that might be changing! There’s no question that we have been blessed with an excellent police force; I don’t know which political party any of them identify with, and that’s the way it should be. But I can’t speak as well for this administration.

More than three months ago, I was assured that the graffiti that is displayed on Second Street would be removed. I’m still waiting! I was assured by the Assistant to the Mayor that I could voice my concern about the parking issue in between South and Locust Streets to City Council and that I didn’t need to be placed on their schedule. That was a joke!
