This is not the first time both Nicks and Keough have been headlines recently.after she seemingly posted a self-centered statement about her home in Maui as the wildfires continue to cut a swath of devastation on the island.
“As I am sure you have heard – the island, Maui, where I own a house I have been staying at since the 80s – and the small village, city, most magical place on earth, Lahaina, burned to the ground over the last few days,” Taylor Jenkins Reid, the book’s author, told the Independent that she was actually inspired to write the book after watching a Fleetwood Mac performance of the song “Silver Springs” in 1997.
Nicks goes on to venerate the town and described it as an “amazing town that had survived so much for so long” adding that the island meant so much to Fleetwood Mac. Since being posted, several people have called out the singer’s response to the situation as tone-deaf but die-hard fans claimed the woman was grieving and worried about her family member.
