Among the rookie aspirants in the Philippine Basketball Association this year, Filipino-American guard Stephen Holt probably owns the most impressive basketball resume heading to Sunday's PBA Draft at the Market! Market! in Taguig.
Listed at 6-foot-4, the product of Saint Mary's will be entering the PBA Draft with a rich basketball experience, having played in Australia, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, Kazakhstan and Romania.While he admitted that the PBA is a different pro league for him, the 31-year-old Holt remains excited with the idea of playing before passionate Filipino basketball fans.'The PBA is still very new to me.
Luckily my family is very close and this made us even closer. I had a great support system to keep me focused on hooping overseas since I was so far away from home.'Nonetheless, Holt shared that during those trying times, he managed to play through it, which he felt made him mentally tougher.'In my long European career, I think I'm most proud of playing and making it through the 2020 season in Romania.
