According to the lawsuit, the club has been the site of murders, shootings, stabbings, drug use, theft and disorderly conduct.
“This repeated conduct is a common nuisance that wreaks havoc on the community near the club and strains the resources of law enforcement and first responders,” the lawsuit says.Temptations is a fully-nude, bring-your-own-beverage adult club that operates from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department responded to 247 calls at Temptations between 2020 and 2022, the lawsuit says, and 134 of those calls occurred in 2022 alone — more calls than the 10 other bars in unincorporated Tarrant County combined. The lawsuit alleges that although crimes are “frequently committed” at the club, Temptations refuses to do anything to lessen the issues.
The state is asking for the court to rule that the club refrain from operating as a public nuisance, as well as to close it entirely for one year.
