On the second Sunday of the NFL's 2023 season, 33 players from Alabama high schools and colleges (excluding Alabama and Auburn) got on the field.
Two other former state players were involved in the Indianapolis-Houston game:
· Jakorian Bennett started at cornerback for the Raiders. Bennett made nine tackles in his second NFL game before leaving with a knee injury.· Ravens guard Tyrell Doss is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.· Bengals kicker Evan McPherson made his four attempts by connecting on a 27-yard field goal as Cincinnati tied the score at 10-10 with 3:01 left in the first half and hitting three extra points.· Michael Pierce started at nose tackle for the Ravens.
· Jalen Tolbert started at wide receiver for the Cowboys. Tolbert had three receptions for 18 yards.
