St. Pius X-St. Matthias began their quest for a CIF Southern Section championship with a dominant win against Alemany on Wednesday, Feb. 8.
DOWNEY — The St. Pius X-St. Matthias boys basketball team did what every team wants to do in a postseason opener. It dominated from the opening jump ball to the final buzzer on the way to a 90-57 victory over Alemany in Wednesday’s opening round of the CIF Southern Section Division 3AA playoffs.
