KPRC 2′s Bill Spencer questions CenterPoint on Houston’s massive power outages after storm; Here’s what we learned Lance Gross and his young friends said they came up with the idea last Friday and sell the lemonade at just 50 cents a glass. Gross added that they’ve earned about $100 so far, and said that the community has really seemed to enjoy it.Gemma Askew, one of the neighborhood moms, said watching over the children while cleaning up the neighborhood and waiting to learn when classes might resume has been a community effort.“Between a few of the houses we got somebody home to keep an eye on them but that’s why you need friends and neighbors like we have,” said Askew.

The kiddos told KPRC 2 that they plan to use the money earned to get jerseys and possibly join a basketball league.
