No Way Home is returning to theaters.
An extended cut of Spider-Man: No Way Home dubbed “The More Fun Stuff Version” is coming to theaters this Fall. As the final installment in Jon Watts's Homecoming trilogy, Sony/Marvel Studios’ No Way Home was released in theaters last December and quickly became one of the most successful comic book movies ever.
Following the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, No Way Home sees Tom Holland’s Peter dealing with the aftermath of Mysterio revealing his secret identity to the world. In an attempt to ease the impact on his friends and family, Peter goes to Doctor Strange and asks him to make the world forget he’s Spider-Man. Unfortunately, the spell goes awry, bringing villains from the franchise’s past into the MCU, including Green Goblin , Doc Ock , Sandman , Lizard , and Electro .
You wanted more Spidey and you got it! 🕷🕷🕷 #SpiderManNoWayHome: The More Fun Stuff Version swings into movie theaters in the US and Canada September 2! More countries to be announced soon! pic.twitter.com/4Ux3AwdpfOAudiences couldn’t get enough of No Way Home the first time around and ate up the film’s behind-the-scenes footage and/or interviews. Suffice to say, an extended version of the blockbuster should do well in theaters over Labor Day weekend.
By bringing together three generations of Spider-Men, No Way Home pays homage to its main character and superhero cinema. Its initial release not only hearkened back to Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man but revitalized cineplexes during the pandemic era without the help of the Chinese market. It's akin to Avengers: Endgame and Avatar as a historic film and the one to re-watch in celebration of 60 years of Spider-Man.
