Nakasaad sa website na ang taunang Manila Dialogue on the South China Sea ay nakatuon sa “promoting adherence to international law and identifying sound, pragmatic, and actionable policy prescriptions” para sa mga bansang nakapaligid ng South China Sea, at mga kalapit na bansa. Nanindigan naman si Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, na “generally stable" ang sitwasyon sa South China Sea dahil umano sa pagsisikap ng China at ASEAN countries.
