The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is currently affecting the western section of the country on Sunday and will bring scattered rain showers over Zambales and other areas, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, and northern Palawan including Calamian and Kalayaan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the monsoon and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.Sunrise was at 5:26 a.m. while sunset will be at 6:23 p.m.
