South Korean authorities on Friday announced that they will lift stringent pandemic curbs on social gatherings next week—after several months of the restrictions—as it prepares to pivot to a ‘living with Covid’ strategy with more than 60% of its entire population fully vaccinated.... While annoucing the loosening of restrictions—which have been in place since the country’s fourth wave in July—Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum said he hopes this will be the last adjustment to social distancing rules before the country returns to normalcy in November.
