South Euclid will hold its annual city hall open house on Saturday, Sept. 16. Residents will have the opportunity to meet with administrators and first responders and get a look at city equipment.
Residents are invited to get a closeup look at equipment, offices and more at South Euclid's City hall open house Sept.16.SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- The city of South Euclid is once again opening the doors to city hall and inviting residents to get a closeup look at how their tax dollars are being spent -- and to have a little fun -- during an open house to be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 16.
Begun in 2015, the annual city hall open house features opportunities to interact with each city department. City hall is located at 1349 S. Green Road.-- The South Euclid Police Department, under Chief Joe Mays, will have for viewing the mobile command post HAVOC-1 from Chagrin Valley Dispatch, and giveaways.-- The South Euclid Fire Department, under Chief David Czire, will provide lunch, while the youth Fire Explorers Post 1349 will perform interactive exercises.
-- “We’ll also have the other administrative offices open to the public,” Subwick said. “There’s actually a turtle in the building department that people can see. It’s a rescue from Herps Alive. And Herps Alive will have a reptile display.” The turtle, named Hard Hat, lives in the building department.“There’s going to be a lot going on,” Subwick said. “It’s an opportunity to see behind the scenes.
