The first Sonic the Hedgehog 2 early reactions have surfaced online as audiences praise the action-packed sequel. Paramount launched the Sonic the Hedgehog movie franchise in 2020, as the family-friendly video game movie was one of the last hits before COVID-19 shut down theaters. It received mostly positive reviews, earned over $300 million at the box office, and set up a Sonic sequel that would be more faithful to the games.
