Officers at 8:28 p.m. on Sept. 14 responded to Target regarding a suspected female shoplifter who was leaving the store parking lot in a white Honda.
Officers spotted the car as it was leaving the parking lot and pulling onto Brookpark Road. An officer noted the woman driver was not wearing a seat belt. An officer activated his flashing lights and approached the stopped vehicle. However, as the officer approached the car and was instructing the driver to put the vehicle into park, the driver pulled away, according to a police report.
The suspect was accused of stealing more than $345 worth of merchandise from the Target store. She is charged with petty theft, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, driving under suspension, reckless operation, failure to yield the right of way when making a left turn, and failure to wear a seat belt, according to a police report.An officer stopped a female driver shortly after 2 a.m. Sept.
The woman was accused of stealing five pieces of merchandise valued at more than $51, including a bag of rice, deodorant, and underwear.
