Seattle police said a confrontation with a man who tried to shoplift at a gas station led to a fight involving punching, biting, and hair-pulling.
On Monday at 5:23 p.m., a drunken man went into a gas station and tried to steal some alcohol products. When the man tried to leave the store with the unpaid merchandise, an employee blocked his path and asked for the items back.
Police said the man then punched the employee in the face, which led the employee to fight back to defend himself. As the fight escalated, the man pulled the victim’s hair out and bit his arms. The man was bleeding when east precinct officers arrived. The man then swung at two police officers but missed. Officers said they were able to arrest the man and summon medics for him and the victim.More news from KIRO 7
