A 'routine' traffic stop in North Carolina led to the arrest of a Florida man accused of abducting a 16-year-old girl he met online and driving her across state lines.

After getting consent from Vazquez to search his vehicle, deputies noticed that his 16-year-old, female passenger had been reported missing by the Coral Springs Police Department just five hours prior to the traffic stop. Authorities were able to rescue the teenager, who reportedly met Vazquez online, and transported her to the Wake County Juvenile Detention Center, where her family picked her up.
