Max Veronneau, a native of Ottawa, led the Swedish Hockey League this season with 34 goals
The Sharks hope they’ve found another forward who can challenge for a roster spot next season, signing former Ottawa Senators winger Max Veronneau to a one-year, two-way contract.Veronneau, 26, was the Swedish Hockey League’s leading goal scorer this season with 34 and was second with 60 points for Leksands IF, and was named the SHL’s Most Valuable Player.
“Max had a great season this year in Europe,” said Shin Larsson, the Sharks’ supervisor of European scouting, in a statement. “He has produced at every level offensively and previously was an ECAC Champion with Princeton. We look forward to him joining our organization.” Dahlen has had less than 10 minutes of ice time in each of his last four games, including 6:10 on Saturday in Vancouver and 7:33 on Tuesday in Nashville.
The Sharks close out their road trip with games against Dallas and Minnesota on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
