Friday evening's storms are expected to last only overnight before clearing up Saturday morning, the National Weather Service said.
Scattered showers and storms are predicted to develop asTemperatures are not expected to make a dramatic drop. Friday’s high temperatures are forecast to be in the low 90s before dropping to the mid- to high 80s on Saturday.
Severe storms are expected late Friday afternoon into Friday evening, with the greatest risk for the Interstate 35 and Bexar County area. However,“The way it looks at this point is that it’s going to be an overnight event,” NWS meteorologist Orlando Bermudez said. “The front is going to come across, and then by Saturday morning, most of the precipitation will dissipate."
Bermudez said severe storms could bring large hail, no larger than 1 inch in diameter. Damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall are also possible.
