Senatorial candidate Jose Manuel ‘Chel’ Diokno on Thursday, April 28, called out the government for the ongoing delay in the rehabilitation of Marawi City and in the settlement of land titles of displaced residents.Diokno, a human rights lawyer, noted the rehabilitation of Marawi is far from done since the Marawi siege that happened in May to October 2017.

He expressed confidence that the approval of the Republic Act No. 11696 or the Marawi Siege Compensation Act of 2022 will hasten the recovery of Marawi City.
