Bob Casey visited WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon on Monday, touting his bill seeking Medicaid coverage for all children.Casey said there are about 126,000 children in Pennsylvania who are not insured by private health coverage, CHIP, or a health care exchange. Casey said that's 'an abomination; there's no excuse for that.
'Casey introduced a bill that would automatically enroll all children through age 18 in Medicaid.In Pennsylvania, parents of children with disabilities can qualify for Medicaid coverage, but it doesn't apply to all.Casey wants to pay for the Medicaid expansion by increasing taxes on large multinational corporations and the wealthiest Americans, saying they need to 'pay their fair share.
