She became a UNICEF ambassador at just 18 years old, becoming the organization’s youngest member. Gomez traveled overseas to oversee the clean water and education UNICEF was providing the country’s children, as Ghana suffers from a high child mortality rate. Gomez notes the kids are “the biggest honor” of the program, including Ella whom she called “really sweet.”Gomez is an ambassador for almost any organization that involves children, and that’s not excluding the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. The star took a pitstop at Seacrest Studios in Charlottesville, N.C., during her Stars Dance Tour in 2013, to speak to the patients at Levine Children’s Hospital.
Gomez answered her best friend Courtney, commenting, “She’s going down with me.” She also responded to five-year-old Declan’s “favorite monster” question with a fairly biased answer. “Dracula, you know, that’s my pops,” she said, alluding to her character in the film.
