SEE IT: IvankaTrump hands out meals to Floridians affected by Hurricane Ian

The former White House aide joined the efforts of CityServe, a Christian nonprofit group that provides service via local churches, and Mercy Chefs, another nonprofit organization dedicated to providing restaurant-quality meals to feed those who visited the tent. Those who received the food and supplies included needy families and first responders.

"Devastating to see the heartbreaking destruction Hurricane Ian left behind. Homes, businesses, and the lives of so many families were completely uprooted," Trump wrote in an Instagram post with a photo of her handing out meals."In the face of unimaginable desolation, it was beautiful to see local communities and organizations come together during such a difficult time.

CityServe has been"resourcing churches with food, water, and supplies" since Sept. 30, according to an Instagram post from CEO Dave Donaldson. Mercy Chefs has similarly deployed 20 of its chefs since Sept. 28 and provided as many as 30,000 meals each day, according to a press release. “We’re prepared to respond as quickly as possible with as many meals as we can,” founder of Mercy Chefs Gary LeBlanc said. “We’re in touch with church partners and state officials in Florida to execute our response, and we’re praying for those who have been impacted by this destructive storm.”CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER
