According to Kiley McDaniel of ESPN, the Seattle Mariners now have five prospects in the Top 100. While some outlets quibble with the exact number of Top 100 prospects, the opinion of the M's system as a whole remains strong.
McDaniel, one of the more recognizable prospect gurus, put out his updated rankings on Wednesday. These include players that were just drafted in July.- One of those has underlying metrics that are "unprecedented" and a rival exec said he "could be a superstar."- One of those has underlying metrics that are "unprecedented" and a rival exec said he "could be a superstar.", infield prospect Colt Emerson is ranked as the 11th-best prospect in the sport.
Prospect outlets frequently differ from one another.
