A new billboard campaign along I-20 and a $5,000 reward aim to help in the search for Janice 'Becky' LaPlant, a Lincoln woman who has been missing for more than a decade.
Janice “Becky” LaPlant was reportedly last seen on July 25, 2011 at the Lincoln Manor Apartments and reported missing Aug. 10 of that year. A new billboard campaign along Interstate 20 is aimed at shaking loose information about the 2011 disappearance of a Lincoln woman.
Central Alabama Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information on the whereabouts of Janice “Becky” LaPlant. LaPlant was reportedly last seen on July 25, 2011 at the Lincoln Manor Apartments, and reported missing Aug. 10 of that year. According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, LaPlant, who was 49 at the time of her disappearance, was reported missing by her husband Eugene Smith, who is now deceased. LaPlant was his caregiver at the time she went missing, reportedly after a party at their residence.
