The filmmaking collective known as Radio Silence has signed on to direct and produce a horror movie for Universal.
acting as producer on the film. Alongside the collective, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and James Vanderbilt of Project X Entertainment will also produce the film. The script for the as-of-yet untitled project was written by Stephen Sheilds, with revisions by Guy Busick.
Currently, it’s unknown exactly what the film will be based on, but according to THR, the film was known asat one point and centered on a group of kidnappers who abduct a group of young people, with one of them being the daughter of the iconic vampire. The report also mentions that the film is another in Universal’s more unique takes on their iconic horror characters. Past remakes include Leigh Whannell’s, with THR noting that the films present “a unique take on legendary monster lore and will represent a fresh, new direction for how to celebrate these classic characters.”
