Schneider Electric, a French energy management and automation company, plans to scale up its logistics hub in Cavite province, reaffirming
its strong confidence and continued expansion in logistics services, manufacturing and high value services in the Philippines, according to the Board of Investments.
The expansion project, estimated at 1.4 million euros, received an approval from Schneider Electric’s top management. The company has been operating in the Philippines for 26 years and employs 3,375 Filipino workers. Its operations in the Philippines cater to nine countries with an annual throughput value of 1 billion euros.
The Philippines is one of the four global hubs of the company, which provides technical, analytics, finance planning and accounting and sales support to 154 countries and hosts 23 languages. The company placed 7th on Corporate Knight’s 2023 Global 100 list of Most Sustainable Corporations and operates in the areas of energy management, industrial automation, central functions and digital costs.
