The Supreme Court on Wednesday announced that all court activities will be suspended on the afternoon of December 29, 2022 at all levels in preparation for the New Year.
The high court also said that all court activities at all levels are also suspended on January 2, 2023 after it was declared as a non-working holiday.
In a memorandum order, the Court said that all court activities will be suspended from 12 noon at all levels “to allow court personnel, parties, and litigants the opportunity to attend to personal engagements.” However, the Court said that this will not apply to court personnel who need to process bail, orders of release or other writs of liberty, those that need to serve protection orders within the day, or those attending to other urgent matters at the discretion of judges and justices concerned.
“Amid the frenetic pace of the holiday season, do make sure to carve out some time for yourself and prioritize self-care. Practice kindness at all times, especially to yourself,” the Court said.— Joahna Lei Casilao/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
