Standing beside a display of wreckage from the attack site, Saudi Arabia's defense spokesman claimed Iran was behind Saturday's devastating oil plant strikes just hours after President Trump declared a 'significant increase' in sanctions on Tehran.

Saudi military spokesman Colonel Turki al-Malki displays what he describes as an Iranian cruise missile and drones used in an attack this weekend that targeted the heart of Saudi Arabia's oil industry.: Saudi Arabia has presented what it says is evidence that rival Iran was behind crippling missile attacks on two of its major Aramco oil plants, as President Donald Trump, who previously said the U.S. was “locked and loaded” to respond to the culprits, moved to ramp up sanctions on Tehran.

Saudi defense spokesman Colonel Turki Al-Malki presented the wreckage of drones and missiles said to have been used in the attack alongside a slideshow at a press conference in Riyadh on Wednesday. The images appeared to show that the 25 missiles and drones came from the north, and Al-Malik told reporters they were “unquestionably sponsored by Iran.”
