Weather officials extended a beach warning in effect over the weekend as conditions at Lake Michigan remain dangerous for swimmers with waves between 4 to 7 feet expected and currents being life-threatening.

Several beaches in Lake, northern and central Cook counties in Illinois are included.Swimmers are encourage to stay out of the water, especially inexperienced swimmers because conditions are life-threatening.Conditions at Chicago’s airports are overcast at 73 degrees. A high in the mid-70s is expected Saturday.
