SMC Global Power Holdings Corp. is looking at issuing P30 billion worth of bonds, with an oversubscription of up to P10 billion.
The amount represents the first tranche of the company’s three-year shelf registration program amounting to P60 billion.
PRS Aaa is the highest credit rating on PhilRatings’ long-term issue credit rating scale. Obligations rated PRS Aaa are of the highest quality with minimal credit risk. Likewise, this represents the obligor’s capacity to meet its financial commitment on the obligation as extremely strong. SMC Global Power is one of the country’s largest power companies, controlling 4,734 megawatts of committed capacity as of end-March this year.
