SAN JOSE — Authorities have identified thePolice responded about 6:44 p.m. May 17 to the area of South King Road and Hermocilla Way for a report of a person shot, according to a San Jose Police Department news release.
After arriving, officers found a man with a gunshot wound and attempted life-saving efforts, police said. The man, identified Tuesday as 32-year-old Carlos David Tovar, was pronounced dead at the scene. The motive and circumstances of the shooting are under investigation, authorities said.
