A controversial mural depicting images of slavery and dead Native Americans at a San Francisco high school will be left in place but covered with solid panels.
The San Francisco Unified School District Board of Education voted 4-3 to cover the"Life of Washington" mural at George Washington High School without destroying it.The vote on Tuesday amends a June decision to paint over the mural"unless doing so would result in undue delay," the school district said in a news release.
