The annual Randy Jones Run/Walk for Independence has raised $500,000 for Home of Guiding Hands since launching 13 years ago

Walkers supporting Home of Guiding Hands will participate in the 13th annual Randy Jones Run/Walk For Independence this Saturday at Crown Point Park in San Diego.

As of Monday, the walk organizers and participants had reached $22,500 out of its $40,000 goal. The money will pay for recreational activities for clients to travel to local attractions like Mission Beach or the San Diego Zoo.Home of Guiding Hands was launched in 1967 by a group of Lutheran businessmen looking to improve support services for children with disabilities.
