28-year-old Ze’ev Bar Yadin got on a plane the same day he learned about the Hamas terrorist attacks.
SAN ANTONIO — A husband, father and San Antonian is on the front lines in Israel. He is one of two local men we know of that have volunteered to fight in the“I might be living in the United States, but Israel will always be my home,” Bar Yadin said. “These are my people.”
“My dad's actually from Israel. He was born and raised. I grew up in a very Israeli Zionist family,” he said. Bar Yadin had to say goodbye to his parents, his wife, his one-year-old, and his unborn baby. He said they are nervous but proud. Right now, Bar Yadin is stationed in northern Israel. He could not say much about what he has seen or is anticipating but is ready to fight.Bar Yadin said the support he has received from back home is helping keep his morale high as the war rages on.
