The exhibition showcases San Antonio artists, poets and storytellers. Mayor Ron Nirenberg called this an effort to 'cultivate a sister city relationship.'

SAN ANTONIO — $100,000 are heading to Queretaro, Mexico to fund an exhibit titled"Al Otro Lado del Espejo," which translates to"The Other Side of the Mirror."

"This is giving 15 San Antonio artists an opportunity to showcase their work internationally, which broadens their professional development opportunities, but also gets people excited about coming to San Antonio," said Krystal Jones, Executive Director with the city's department of arts and culture. "We know that the future of the North American economy, let alone ours, is being written on the relationships between the United States and Mexico," said San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg."And part of that is the relationship that we've had with some of the cities in Mexico."

"They lead to educational exchanges, economic partnerships, historic and cultural activities," he said."And so this is part and parcel of establishing and cultivating a sister city relationship."KENS 5 has brought numerous firsts to South Texas television, including being the first local station with a helicopter, the first with its own Doppler radar and the first to air a local morning news program.
