Two defensive backs exited Alabama's blowout over MTSU early and one junior wide reciever started late.
Head coach Nick Saban told SEC Network that a few guys were “banged up” following. The notable players that exited the game were defensive backs Jaylen Key and Malachi Moore.
But while Saban preempted the injury question, he demurred when asked about Ja’Corey Brooks. After being Alabama’s second-leading receiver in yards from a year ago, the junior wideout sat for the first half of Saturday night’s game. Brooks recorded his first snap in the third quarter, finishing with zero catches and two targets. He was also called for a holding penalty on a fourth-quarter punt.
