Saab Magalona tested positive for COVID-19 for the first time, and is finding it difficult to be isolated away from her family.

“I’m on Day 3 since I tested positive and the headaches have been wild especially in the mornings,” Saab said. “Thankful for the video calls with my boys although it’s hard not to cry.”Saab shared that her eldest son Pancho called her when he woke up from his nap “and signed for me to pray with him[.]”Saab said that the hardest part of COVID is being away from her family. Additionally, her husband Jim Bacarro also had to isolate just to be safe.

“Despite the vomiting and splitting headaches, the most difficult part of this is being away from my boys and hearing them cry when I have to say goodbye on our video calls,” she said. Saab thanked their helpers at home for taking care of the kids, and for preparing her soups and cold compress. “Thankful that Jim is such a sweetheart and my biggest cheerleader[,]” Saab added. “Can’t wait to hug you[.]”
