Ryan Garcia missed weight for his fight with Devin Haney but cut a deal for the fight to go forward.

Instead, Garcia immediately asked to cut a deal for the fight to proceed Saturday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, sources said, and there is a signed agreement. At Thursday's news conference, and throughout the lead-up to the bout, Haney said Garcia would miss weight. Garcia's December win over Oscar Duarte, an eighth-round knockout, was contested at 143 pounds after it was originally scheduled to take place at 140.
The bout will be Haney's second fight at 140 pounds. The former undisputed lightweight champion moved up to junior welterweight in December and shut out Regis Prograis to win the title.
