Rutgers (3-0) faces No. 2 Michigan (3-0) at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday.
This week, there is a split once again. Rutgers is a 24-point underdog to Michigan, according to most sportsbook, and only one/two believe the Scarlet Knights will cover for a third consecutive week.Michigan is ranked No. 2 in the country because of what it accomplished last season, not based on its performance through three weeks of this season. Sure, the Wolverines are 3-0, but their wins over ECU, UNLV and Bowling Green weren’t exactly impressive.
It’s why they have not destroyed any of their opponents thus far, but it is also why none of them had any chance of an upset. That is how I see Saturday going for Rutgers. The nature of both team’s playstyles will keep the game close for a while, but as the game wears on, Michigan’s depth and talent — the Wolverines arguably have more of both in every position outside of linebacker — will grind the Scarlet Knights down.
