Harry Potter star Rupert Grint explains how he outsmarted security and stole an odd prop on the final day of shooting for the franchise. Based on the beloved novels by author J.K. Rowling, the mainline Harry Potter franchise ran from 2001 to 2011, chronicling the epic journey of Harry , Ron , and Hermione .
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY In a recent interview with People, Grint recalls that, on the last day of filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, security on set was particularly strict to prevent any props from being stolen. The actor explains that he had to get a little creative when it came to smuggling an item off of the set, and the item itself is certainly an interesting choice.

Grint has also expressed that he's open to returning as Ron in a future Harry Potter project, but only if his costars also reprise their roles.
With the Fantastic Beasts movies now seemingly on ice, a film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a stage play, may seem like a logical place for the franchise to go next. The movie would introduce a host of new, younger characters while bringing back older versions of Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
