in Parma has been practicing their paczki-making skills since mid-January. They are ready to greet the seemingly endless stream of customers who show up between now and Fat Tuesday, Feb. 21, to select from 31 flavors of sweet and savory pastries. This year, customers will get a special treat as the bakery celebrates its 75th year of business.

For word nerds “paczki” is the plural form of a Polish word for “parcel” or “package.” They are $2.50 each, $15 per half-dozen and $28 per dozen.
