Online basketball season Kyt Jimenez has signed a two-year PBA rookie deal with San Miguel Beer.
SMB team manager Gee Abanilla said the coaching staff led by Jorge Gallent gave a 'good look' at Jimenez in practice and believes 'he can really play.''You know, the coaches spoke to Kyt and really took a good look at him in practice,' Abanilla told the Manila Times on Wednesday. 'We know he is an internet sensation, but in fairness to him, he can really play and we see no reason why he can't prove himself in the PBA given the chance.
'Abanilla said Jimenez, who toiled with General Santos in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League since last year, has the skills to play in the pro league.'He works really hard and very coachable in my opinion. Very good potential,' explained the SMB team executive.Jimenez was selected in the ninth round or 76th overall during the 2023 PBA Draft.
