Speaker Martin Romualdez of Leyte said the House of Representatives would not allow distractions in formulating policies for the benefit of the Filipino people.
Romualdez issued the statement in light of the World Bank projecting a 6% gross domestic product growth for the Philippines in 2023, a higher estimate compared with its previous forecasts of 5.4% in December and 5.6% in April.
The positive projection was also a testament to the resilience of Filipino, the dynamism of Philippine businesses, and the stability of the country's economic fundamentals.
